The Springfield Township Fire Department is ran out of 3 seperate Fire Stations.
Beatty Station 58, Garden Acres Station 72, and Rockway Station 56.

Fire Department History
In November 1950 Robert E. Barry Sr. assumed responsibility of organizing the Fire Department.

Location
The Springfield Township Fire Departments Stations are located 15 miles north-east of Dayton on I-70 and Covers 34.9 sq.mi. and protects 13,352 people. The Township is Growing and Prospering rapidly. Along with a growing economy and "boom" of buisness more and more people are becoming " Citizens Of Springfield Township".

There are currently 382.6 people per square mile residing in Springfield Township.

Fire Dept Members
With new technology in communications the response times have been cut dramatically. The Springfield Township residents Volunteer for the Fire and EMS Services. The cost to train and "swair in" each firefighter and emt is about $1,400.oo - $1,600.00 . Paramedics require 1000 hrs of training, EMT- Intermediate's require 400 hrs of training, and EMT- Basic's require 120 hrs of training.
