About the Springfield Twp. Fire Dept #3
Springfield Township Fire Department No. 1 protects 13,352 people living in an area of 34.9 square miles. We operate out of 3 stations that protect a primarily residential area. -- Our department is a public department whose members are on a combination of paid and volunteer status.
We are a rural/residential dept that serves the surrounding square mileage of Springfield Ohio. There are 3 stations in the township. They usually respond to about 300 calls each year. There are currently 27 members on the roster of Station #3. The station is designated as Station 56 by the county and dispatch. At this time we are dispatched by the Clark Co. Sheriffs Office. They dispatch all three of the township stations.
